Woodside Toddler Program
Woodside School’s Toddler Program provides quality, developmentally appropriate early learning and care for children 18-36 months old. The toddler curriculum centers on helping children grow and develop while having fun. We focus on the things toddlers are most eager to explore. Toddlers learn about themselves and their feelings, about others, communication, movement, activity, and developing thinking skills. Our teachers help learning flourish by building strong bonds with children and their families. We select toys and materials and arrange the environment to enhance the learning environment.
In Woodside School’s Toddler Program children are given the chance to interact with each other in positive ways and begin building the social skills they will need to be successful. A variety of experiences like cooking with teachers, dancing and singing, stacking blocks, or exploring different textures (water, sand, play doh) enhance learning.
Woodside School’s outdoor classroom offers children the opportunity to learn by exploring the natural environment. Your toddler’s learning is stimulated by experiencing the changes of seasons, different weather, moving in various environments and seeing birds, small animals , and insects. The outdoor classroom includes a climbing hill, sandbox, slides, plenty of room to run and infinite opportunitiesĀ for learning and growing.
Woodside School’s Toddler Program is flexible and meets most parent’s needs. We are open Monday-Friday 7:30-5:30 and offer a choice of 2,3,4,or 5 full or half days. Woodside School’s half days are either 7:30-12:30 or 12:30-5:30. Our class size is up to 18 children with 4 or 5 teachers depending on the age of the children. Our student teacher ratios are better than required by state licensing.
